Project Launch and farmers awards- Promoting Permaculture sustainable system in Ghana.

On the 20th of October, 2022 we had a project launch and farmers awards conference at the Ghana Permaculture Institute center. We officially launched this project "Improving economic well-being of peasant farmers in the permaculture value chain through the GPI agribusiness center" we brought together stakeholders including chiefs, agri-departments, farmers, and NGOs that promote sustainable agriculture and youth and women empowerment to the GPI and share with them the amazing impact of this project. This project will directly empower 2150 farmers, focusing much on women and youth.

We had a tour of the GPI 24.5-acre demonstration site.

We awarded farmers with cash prizes in honor of the Late Dr. Paul Yeboah, the Founder of Ghana Permaculture Institute. We awarded four categories. The best farmer that supplied high-quality Moringa leaves (Madam Kodom Georgina), the best peasant farmer that supplied a higher quantity of Moringa seeds (Mr. Vetius K Abraham), the higher supplier of Moringa leaves (Mr. Opoku Amoateng), and the best-organized permaculture community group (Kranka Community). A big thanks to LUSH Cosmetics, Global Ecovillage Network, Ghana &Africa, and other individuals that supported us in kind and in cash and through this link.
