Service Description

At the Ghana Permaculture Institute, we offer varieties of short courses for all interested persons. Participants will receive hands-on training in snail production from farm setup to harvesting and marketing for 5 DAYS. During the training, you will learn how to select suitable sites, prepare the soil, and choose appropriate snail species such as Achatina achatina, Achatina fulica, and Archachatina marginata. The training will cover proper stocking methods, feeding and nutritional requirements, moisture management, and protection from predators and diseases. Participants will also be guided on snail breeding, growth monitoring, and correct harvesting techniques. In addition, the training will include basic marketing strategies and value chain opportunities. By the end of the training, participants will have the knowledge and skills needed to establish and manage a profitable snail farming enterprise. The program concludes with practical assessments and certification upon successful participation and demonstration of skills. We look forward to training you!
