Service Description

At the Ghana Permaculture Institute, we offer varieties of short courses for all interested persons. Participants will undergo comprehensive practical training in beekeeping, covering hive setup, colony management, honey harvesting, processing, and marketing for 5 DAYS. The training begins with an introduction to the importance of bees in agriculture and biodiversity, identification of bee species and colony roles, and hands-on hive assembly and installation. Participants will learn routine hive management practices, seasonal bee behavior, recordkeeping, swarming control, and colony health monitoring through guided inspections. The training will also cover hygienic honey harvesting techniques, processing, storage, and effective control of common bee pests and diseases using natural methods. In addition, participants will be introduced to value addition opportunities such as beeswax processing, as well as branding and marketing strategies. The program concludes with practical assessments and certification upon successful participation and demonstration of skills. We look forward to training you!
