At the Ghana Permaculture Institute, we offer varieties of short courses for all interested persons. Participants will receive practical, hands-on training in fish farming from pond or tank setup to harvesting and marketing for 5 DAYS. During the training, you will learn how to select suitable sites, construct and prepare ponds or tanks, and maintain good water quality for fish growth. Participants will be introduced to various fish species suitable for farming, including catfish, tilapia, and other locally adaptable species. The training will cover selection and stocking of healthy fingerlings, feeding and nutrition management, growth monitoring, disease prevention, and routine pond maintenance. Participants will also learn proper recordkeeping, harvesting techniques, sorting, processing, storage, and basic marketing strategies. By the end of the training, participants will gain the knowledge and skills needed to establish and manage a productive and profitable fish farming enterprise. We look forward to training you!
